Texas Clay Festival
October 28-29, 2006

Gruene Historical District of New Braunfels
The 14th annual Texas Clay festival will be held in the Gruene Historical District of New Braunfels on Saturday October 28th (10AM to 6PM) and Sunday October 29th (10AM to 5PM), on the grounds of Buck Pottery.  This year's show will feature over fifty Texas artisans whose work ranges from functional pottery made from earthenware, stoneware and porcelain to decorative sculpture.  Festival participants will be demonstrating throughout both days.  Admission to the festival is free.  For more information call (830) 629-7975 or visit www.texasclayfestival.com .

The American Museum of Ceramic Art (AMOCA) will host Raku: Origins, Impact, and Contemporary Expression, from November 11 – January 27, 2007. This exhibition provides a global perspective on contemporary ceramic artists working with raku firing methods. Featured artists are Tim Andrews, Jean Biagini, Stephen Branfman, Patrick Crabb, Chang-Juan Chang, Aline Favre, Fabienne Gioria, Rick Hirsch, David Jones, Toshio Ohi, Jim Romberg (organizer), and Paul Soldner..
